Week 43

Okay so the weather here is still hot and sticky but it also rains a few times every week which is really appreciated. My new companion is Elder Solis! He is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico but is now from LA. He is super cool and we get along great. The funny thing is because of the lack of Spanish speaking missionaries in the mission he has already spent six months in this area when he started his mission a year ago, haha! He's back for more! It is pretty cool because we are teaching a bunch of new people he has never met so it's pretty new for him even if he had been here before :)

Unfortunately this week has been a little slower but alright. I feel like the first week with a new comp or in a new area is usually a little slow but it'll pick up I'm sure. We have a few part-member families who we don't get to see as often as we'd like because our schedules just never seem to match up. Hopefully we'll be able to get everything figured out this coming week! It was still alright though :)

One person we do usually see regularly is Adrian, our investigator with a baptismal date. It's for July 11th and I'm not sure he'll be ready for that date unfortunately, but I am positive he will be baptized when the time is right :) He is so awesome and we got to teach him the Plan of Salvation this week. We had gone over the first half of it before but he didn't really understand it. His comprehension skills just aren't the greatest... but this time we had a visual chart thing we had and with the visuals we were able to explain it to him and he actually got it! It was so awesome. Now we know that we need to have visuals at every lesson for him to understand, haha :) Whatever is necessary!!

Besides that, not much else happened. We're having fun and helping lots of people progress :) Also I've been reading Jesus the Christ recently and it is such a cool book! Like it's crazy how much detail it has. I've also been working my way through the Gospels and it helps me understand a lot of it better too. Like it just expounds so much and adds a ton of insight and I love it! I'd definitely recommend it :)

Thanks everyone for everything! Just a reminder here's my address ;)
