Week 45

So this week seemed like the opposite of last week pretty much... it was a super slow week. We had a few meetings that took up a lot of time and then a lot of other people cancelled and left us with not much to do. Those two things together made it a little tough for us. However there is one miracle we were able to see :)

Yesterday as a district we had a fast to find people to teach. It was Saturday and as missionaries our weeks start on Mondays so we had one more day left to make up for the slow week. We hadn't found anyone yet but near the end of the day on Sunday we decided to try this referral someone had given us a week or two back. Someone answered and let us in and apparently they were having a family gathering and suddenly we were sitting in front of about seven Hondurians, haha! We taught them and had a super good discussion. It was such a blessing to be able to see how powerful fasting really is and how blessed we are :) It was so awesome!

On the Fourth of July we were able to visit a family in the morning and spent the rest of the day chilling at the mission home! Our mission president invited all the missionaries that were serving nearby to come and we had a BBQ and watched fireworks and had tons of fun! It was so great :)

So overall it didn't seem like the greatest week but it all paid off when our prayers were answered an we were able to find a whole family to teach :) Being a missionary is great and I love being one! Thanks everyone for everything!

Love, Elder Hayes

Photo 2: last monday we got to visit the anheuser-busch brewery and go to learn about how many resources are wasted in the production of beer... lol
