Week 48

This week was pretty different from last week! Last week we were super busy and had awesome lessons and found lots of people but this week most of our set appointments fell through and we didn't teach nearly as much as last week. It was pretty disappointing to be honest but the few lessons we had were pretty good so it made up for it!

Adrian didn't come to church again and we also weren't able to meet with him this week :( He just needs to make this more of a priority. He seems to still be very interested, but it seems like it will happen eventually! It'll just take time :)

The highlight of the week was probably yesterday. We're teaching this really cool guy named Gabriel. Yesterday we met with him and our branch president was able to come along! We had a great lesson on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and while Gabriel was originally hesitant to come to church by the end he said he would come next Sunday! We have our fingers crossed for him :)

I don't know if any of you even care about the weather but it has been super hot and humid recently!! We have been sweating a ton. I'm definitely ready for Fall to come around...

Overall it wasn't the greatest week we've had but this week is the first week of our next transfer and (probably) my last six weeks in this branch. We are looking forward to trying different techniques to find and to get people to keep commitments!! We have a few other investigators we are pretty excited about and can't wait to see what happens with them. Hopefully it's good :)

Serving a mission is an awesome opportunity and I am grateful for the chance I have to be on one :) It's not always easy but it's not supposed to be either!! Next week will be better :)

Love, Elder Hayes
